weekend update... LOL

Well it was another busy/eventful weekend here. We had a great visit with my brother-in-law & sister-in law. We had a few different family gathering that proved to be a lot of fun. It's amazing how much fun can be had when you ignore half the in-laws there. LOL

Sunday we went to spend some time with my another set of in-laws. I really enjoy them and the time they spend with us. It is such a comfort to have people listen to you and understand what is going on. I needed that. Amazing!! The boys really enjoyed being out in the fresh air and running around playing football. Lyla was her typical  self (discovering all the things she can cram into her mouth). She cracks me up. She would rather put rocks in her mouth than a piece of candy. She is so hilarious.

Soccer is now over and I think we will all miss the Saturday schedule. I loved coaching and having a good workout each time. I am not looking forward to winter and the exercising restrictions that will come with it. I NEED fresh air everyday or man do I get cranky.

Well we start another week with no new changes. Each Sunday night I pray for a fresh start and a good week ahead. So far I have been disappointed each time. Life is just too difficult these days. I really need a break. Something has to change. SOMETHING! I am so tired of this and the stress it all causes. Oh to be cheery and happy again. . .one day!!!

♫ That's why God Made Mexico. . . ♫

It was a busy weekend and it has turned into another busy week here in the Green House. I have been struggling to keep up and it is only Tuesday! Jaxon is out of school tomorrow so I am trying to get all my cleaning done today so that I can play with all the kids on Wednesday! Looking forward to having them all here with me. I cherish my time with them and I love their little chats with Mama.

Allen has to go back to the doctor this evening, so I figure it is going to be another painful night. He is really dreading the pain again, and honestly I am dreading the complaining again. LOL I gave birth to 4 of his children and then had to step right back into Mom Mode without a bit of "time off." With no help, you just have to cope with what you have. So I have little if no sympathy for him at times. Guess I shouldn't be so hard on him.

59 days until this year is over. . .can you tell I am excited?!! I started my countdown back in July and finally we are getting somewhere. I have hated every minute of this year. 2009 has been horrible and I am hoping and praying that this will be the worst year we (our family) will ever see. If we can keep it together until then. lol  I guess I am being a bit of a Debbie Downer today. Hopefully something great will happen so there can be a positive moment soon. . . ???

Exciting day today!

Well this afternoon is Jaxon's 1st grade fall party. I am dropping the 3 younger ones off at Grammie and Pa's house for about an hour so I can go have some fun with Jaxon. I love the one-on-one time with him and you should see his face when I walk in his classroom door. I love it!! I NEVER had that as a child, so I am determined to be a great "classroom mom." So far so good. . .with only one child in school. lol

Last night as the kids and I were running from store to store in White House, trying to find the best candy deals for Allen's "boo gifts" at work, (which I just found out about at 5 last night grrr) Asher and Jaxon sat in the back seat of the van. I was strapping the little ones in their seats and I hear them chanting a little something. I look back to find them doing a "secret" handshake. OMG! I just about cried. I was so pleased to see them getting along and being best friends. I am so happy to have them realize that they are the best friends either of them will ever have! I love it!

Well tonight we are off to get Halloween costumes. I know, a little late, but for us it is still enough time. I usually never buy them until after Halloween and then I keep them for the next year, but the boys are getting old enough now that they don't like that idea. So this is yet another change for us. Just going with the flow.[gallery link="file"]

Ramblings of Asher. . .

Asher is always coming up with some funny things to say. I love the way his mind works. He is so full of knowledge and just hasn't figured out how to translate it so that everyone else gets it. lol He has been this way since he could talk. So last night as we were doing the evening dinner clean-up and bath/shower time, he comes in with his earplugs and says,

Asher: "Mama, I know what this says. I can read the instructions."

Me: "Okay, Asher what does it say?"

Asher: "First, you take the earplug out and smoosh is all up and then you put it in your son's ear. See Mama, it says it right here!"

Me: "Well Asher what if you have a daughter? Can you put them in her ears?"

Asher: "ARE YOU SERIOUS?? NOBODY HAS A DAUGHTER!!!!"

I just about died laughing. Allen was getting Noah in the bath and he heard it and you could just hear him cracking up. Leave it to Asher to give us a good ending to a very long day. It was hilarious!!

Back in the Swing of Things

It has been over a year since I posted last. I have been so busy and life has been so overwhelming. The past year has shown me that nothing is stable and permanent. We have struggled personally and as a family to keep everything together. But instead of dwelling on the past, I am choosing to move forward and start blogging from today's adventures.

Adding just a few pics to get caught up with the kiddos. More to come!
